If you would like to get involved in Rebuilding Dreams and join our team for an exciting summer of helping the Strong family with a brand new start we have would love to have you onboard!
Below you will find a tentative schedule of when we need volunteers and for what tasks… but we can assure you that we need you EVERYDAY so if you’d like to help, come to 155 Greenwood Cres and we will surely find something you could help with!
10 volunteers/day – Sun August 7th and Mon August 8th – help us prepare for the water-proof membrane going on the house – includes some digging and scraping dirt off the side of the basement walls and assisting with the application of the membrane to the walls.
6 volunteers/day – Tues August 9th – Sun August 14th – help frame… even to help carry lumber, etc.
2 volunteers/day – Sat August 13th – Thurs August 18th – helping with plumbing, tin bashing, etc (more skilled)
2 volunteers/day – Sat August 13th – Mon August 14th – help install sprinkler system and fence posts, window wells
2 volunteers/day – Sun August 14th and Mon August 15th – install of windows and doors
2 volunteer/day – Mon August 15th – Fri August 15th – clean up and help if trades need it (stucco, eaves, soffits, fascia)
4 volunteers/day – Tues August 16th – Thurs August 18th – install the flower beds
4 volunteers – Wed August 17th – help hang drywall
2 volunteers – Tues August 23rd – do final touches to exterior like the lights, numbers, mailbox, and general cleanup
5 volunteers/day – Fri August 26th – Mon August 29th – prime and paint 1st coat
2 volunteers/day – Wed August 31st – Sun Sept 4th – general help (flooring, clean up, etc)
4 volunteers/day – Sat September 3rd – Sun September 4th – plant sod
2 volunteers/day – Mon September 5th – Fri September 9th – help with finish carpentry (doors, baseboards, case, etc)
2 volunteers/day – Thurs September 8th – Sun September 11th – helping with final coats of painting walls, doors, trim
4 volunteers/day – Mon September 12th – Wed September 14th – general help moving stuff in like furniture, appliances, etc
20 volunteers – Thurs Sept 15th – finishing touches and prepping for the Grand Reveal at 5:30
